My Land-Art is allways transitory. I don't want my art to change the particular place forever, but to decorate it for a limited time. That's why I allways choose material allready existing at this place. I rearrange it for a certain time until wind, weather and other powers will reorder the decorated place again.
In over 30 years I used stones, sand, wood, carseats, clams, plastic, animal corpses, rotten material from the beach and lots of other things to create small and large pieces of Land-Art, starting from little arrangements of 30 centimeters up to 250 meters in length. This art was created in woods, at beaches, along lakes and in canyons, in ruins and wild waste disposal sites. I did it while travelling, when enough time was available to suck in the special atmosphere of this remote places.
